What this site is
PixWords Scenes Answers is an unofficial, fan-made reference that lists the answers to the picture levels of the PixWords Scenes game, in 31 languages. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the game's publisher. PixWords and PixWords Scenes are trademarks of their respective owners.
Data we collect
We do not ask for, collect or store any personal information as you browse. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no newsletter. Nothing you type into the search page is kept — the letter search runs in your own browser against a data file, and even when it falls back to the server the pattern is not logged or stored.
The one exception is the contact form, which you choose to use. When you submit it, the name, email address and message you typed are sent to our mailbox, together with your IP address and the time, so we can reply and so we can block abuse. Those emails are kept only as long as the conversation is useful and are never sold, shared or used to send you anything you did not ask for.
To stop the form being used for bulk spam we count recent submissions per IP address. That count is stored as a one-way hash of the address — we cannot read your IP back out of it — and it expires within an hour.
Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser user agent, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. These are not used to build a profile of you and are not shared.
Cookies
This site sets exactly one cookie of its own:
- pw_theme — remembers whether you chose the light or dark colour scheme.
It contains only the word
lightordark, and is set only if you press the theme button.
Your chosen language is not stored in a cookie. It is part of the page address, so each language simply has its own URL.
Advertising
We show advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where you have consented to them. Where required, a Google-operated consent dialog appears on your first visit and records your choice; you can reopen it at any time from the privacy link Google places in the ad area.
- Google's use of advertising cookies is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- You can manage or turn off personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center and aboutads.info.
Images
Level pictures are served from a separate content delivery domain
(static999.xyz). Requesting an image sends your IP address and browser
user agent to that host, as any image request on the web does. No cookies are set from
it.
Your rights
Unless you have written to us, we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. If you have used the contact form and want that message deleted, reply to our answer or send the form again saying so, and we will remove it. Requests about advertising data held by Google should go to Google through the links above. You can remove the theme cookie at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them.
Contact
Questions about this page, or a correction to an answer, go through the contact form. It reaches us directly and you will get a reply to whichever address you give it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the revised policy.
